Litton Syndications, LLC (“we”, “us”, or “Litton”) respects your privacy. This privacy notice (“Notice”) describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our website available at www.thedailysplash.tv (“Site”) and related services. Please read the Notice carefully. By using the Site, you agree to our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in the Notice.

The Site is controlled, operated, and administered by Litton from its offices within the United States. Information collected through the Site will be processed in and subject to the laws of the United States.  The Site is not directed to, nor do we knowingly collect information from, children under 13 years of age.  If you become aware that your child or any child under your care has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us using the contact information listed below.


 

Information that We Collect

Through your use of the Site, we may collect personal information, which is information that identifies an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. Personal information may include, but is not limited to, your first and last name  or email address. We collect the following types of information:

Information Provided by You

You are not required to provide personal information in order to use the Site. However, certain features of the Site, such as signing up for a newsletter may require you to provide personal information, such as your email address. 

If you choose to contact us to request information about our content or products, fill out a survey or provide feedback, or request customer service or technical support, we will maintain records of your correspondence.  This may include any of your questions, comments, or suggestions. 

Information Automatically Collected

We may automatically collect the following types of information when you use the Site:

  • Usage Information: We collect certain information automatically through your use of the Site, such as which pages of the Site that you access, the frequency of access, and what you click on while on the Site.

The Site uses Google Analytics to monitor and analyze the visitors web activity on the Site, and Google may share this data with other Google services. How We Use and Share Information

We reserve the right to share information, including personal information, with third parties, as described below:

  • With Service Providers: We may share information with service providers that help us perform Site functions, administer the Site, process transactions, or otherwise provide our products and services. 

  • Within Our Corporate Family: We may share information within our corporate family, such as with subsidiaries, joint ventures, or affiliates, in order to efficiently carry out our business and to the extent permitted by law.

  • If There Is a Change in Corporate Structure: We may share information to proceed with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a sale or transfer of all or a portion of our business or assets to a third party, including in the event of a merger, acquisition, consolidation, change of control, or sale of all or a portion of our assets or if we undergo bankruptcy or liquidation.

  • For Legal Purposes: We may share information where we are legally required to do so, such as in response to court orders or legal process; to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims or demands; or to comply with the requirements of any mandatory applicable law.

  • With Your Consent: Apart from the reasons identified above, we may request your permission to share your personal information for a specific purpose. 

Opting Out of Email Marketing Communications

If you would like to stop receiving marketing emails from us, just click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.  By opting out, you will not receive updates on new products or services or special offers. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, you may still receive informational communications from us.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain reasonable physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect and limit access to your personal information. However, no information system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.  Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to the Site over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks. 

Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to or links from third-party websites that are not owned or controlled by Litton. We have no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party website. You are subject to the policies of those third-party websites where applicable. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party websites before you disclose your personal information.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to, nor do we knowingly collect information from, children under 13 years of age.  If you become aware that your child or any child under your care has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us using the contact information listed below.

Updates to the Notice

We reserve the right to modify the Notice from time to time and in our sole discretion.  Any changes to the Notice will be posted on this page and will go into effect on the date of revision.  We encourage you to review the Notice periodically. By continuing to use the Site after an amended Notice has been posted, you agree to the amended terms of the Notice.

Your California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) Rights

Residents of California may have the following rights:

1. Right to access your personal information. You may request to access the categories and specific pieces of personal information that we collected about you through the Site.  

2. Right to deletion. Subject to certain exceptions, you may ask us to delete the personal information we collected about you through the Site.  

3. Right to disclosure. You may request to receive additional details about the sources from which we collect information, the reasons we collect and share information, and the types of third parties with which we share the personal information we collected about you through the Site. 

4. Right to opt out of sales. If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), certain types of sharing of personal information may constitute a “sale” of your personal information. You have a right to request that we do not sell your personal information to third parties, for such third parties’ own commercial purposes, on a going forward basis. We may share your personal information with marketing and promotional partners in ways which constitute a “sale” under CCPA. For example, we may share your personal information, such as contact information (e.g., name, email) and other information with our business partners and others for their own advertising, marketing and other commercial purposes. If you reengage with us after opting out of the “sale” of your personal information, such as by signing up for a newsletter, your personal information will be collected and used in accordance with this  Notice.  To opt out of the use of your information for interest-based advertising, please use the opt outs include in the Interest-Based Ads section above. 

5. Right to be free from discrimination.  You may exercise any of the above rights without fear of being denied goods or services.  

If you would like to exercise your CCPA rights with respect to the personal information we collected about you through the Site, including the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, please contact us with your request by email at privacy@litton.tv. For such requests, please put the statement “California CCPA Rights” in the body of your email, as well as your full name, email address, mailing address and specify the CCPA right you wish to exercise at this time. 

Minors

We do not knowingly collect or disclose personal information of minors under the age of 16, without affirmative authorization.  

Your Shine the Light California Rights (CA Civil Code § 1798.83)

Residents of California may request a list of third parties to which certain personal information (as defined by applicable California law) collected through the Site was disclosed by Litton during the preceding year for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and want such a list, please write to us at Litton, 884 Allbritton Boulevard, Suite 200, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. For such request, you must put the statement “Your California Privacy Rights” in the body of your request, as well as your name, street address, city, state, and zip code.  In your request, you need to attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for our response. Please also indicate in your request that it relates to The Daily Splash. Please note that we will not accept requests via the telephone, email, or by facsimile, and we are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information.
